MÖTLEY CRÜE Is 'Definitely Coming' To Australia, Says TOMMY LEE
July 8, 2008MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee has told confirmed to Wil & Lehmo of Sydney, Australia's Triple M radio station that the band is "definitely coming" to Australia soon. "I just saw a rough itinerary but I don't want to quote any dates just in case they shift around but we're definitely coming there," he revealed during an interview that aired earlier today (Tuesday, July 8).
Lee continued, "I think what we're going to do when we head over to Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan is bring maybe one or two bands [with us] — it might be BUCKCHERRY or PAPA ROACH. Then what we wanted to do in each country was support the local talent there so maybe have three Australian bands and so on."
As for getting back into life on the road, Tommy's loving it.
"I'm pretty hyper," he said. "Other than my two beautiful kids, I live for this, man. I was put on this planet to play music and drums and to basically raise hell everywhere I go. It's been a pretty awesome ride and I'm sure it'll be quite some time before you see me doing yoga and drinking bottled water backstage."
